14 community-based organizations and 100+ individuals in our community have come together to urge WCCUSD school board to enhance the use of data to improve student outcomes.
At last night’s school board meeting, this coalition of West Contra Costa education advocacy, civil rights, foundation, and community-based organization leaders submitted a joint letter to our WCCUSD board members, calling on the district to improve academic achievement for all students by increasing its capacity to use data to drive decision-making.

The letter urges that funds be provided in the 2017-18 budget to allow WCCUSD to restructure and, if necessary, expand its central data infrastructure and capacity.
“As a group of community-based organizations who cherish and serve West Contra Costa’s young people and families, we urge you to prioritize investments in data-driven, evidence-based decision making to improve academic and life outcomes among all students — especially our students from historically underserved backgrounds.”
