In West Contra Costa, food connects us – from local gardens and neighborhood markets to the restaurants and community events that bring us together.
That’s why we’re excited to invite K-3 students and their families to our next College Early and Often session, centered on the journey from harvest to hospitality – and the many careers that help bring food from farms to our tables.
In this fun, hands-on session, our youngest learners will explore how food travels from farms and gardens to our tables – and the many people who help along the way. Together, we’ll discover careers that grow, harvest, cook, create, welcome, and serve in our own communities.
Through interactive activities, students will begin to see themselves as future problem-solves, creators, and leaders – whether that’s as a farmer, chef, food scientist, event planner, or hospitality manager.
March 10th at 5PM
Registration is required. RSVP today! http://bit.ly/GOCollegeCareer
In partnership with the Richmond Public Library, West Side Branch
Space is limited. Dinner will be provided at the end of the session.
We can’t wait to plant seeds of possibility with our West Contra Costa families and explore how today’s interests can grow into tomorrow’s opportunities.
