Leadership Council

A Richmond native, retired West Contra Costa Unified principal, Hercules grandparent, and community-based organization leader, Gloria has personal experience as a student in the Richmond School District during the 60s, and as the mother of students attending schools in West Contra Costa Unified in the 80s. Gloria’s career in education spans 44 years, and her experiences continue to inspire and drive her community work to improve educational opportunities for all students and quality of life in the West Contra Costa community. Gloria is currently a Field Experience Supervisor at Loyola Marymount University and has been assigned to work in districts throughout the Bay Area.

The members of our founding Leadership Council are West Contra Costa natives, residents, parents, grandparents, former teachers, principals, and alumni of West Contra Costa Unified. With deep connections to our community and strong backgrounds in education, our Leadership Council supports and guides our work in the best interest of West Contra Costa students.
